Breaking news:
And we could use your help.
Add your brick to our
Wall of Supporters
We’ve signed a lease in a historic industrial building in DC’s Truxton Circle neighborhood.
In the morning? Kolaches, breakfast tacos & coffee.
Come lunch & dinner? Real, proper Tex-Mex food — done right in DC for the first time. Sizzlin’ fajitas, brisket enchiladas, tacos al carbon on fluffy housemade flour tortillas, puffy tacos, honey-drizzled sopaipillas... as well as some creative surprises.
We’ll also have a simple beer/wine/cocktail menu, including some pretty delicious margaritas, good Texas beers, and DC’s first pico-back.
In short: this is the Tex-Mex restaurant you’ve been waiting your whole DC life for.
We’ve come a long way since our humble early days as a once-a-week kolache popup, and we’re beyond ecstatic to finally have a home! (We're targeting Summer 2018 for launch).
Needless to say, building out a restaurant space is a major undertaking, and so we’re humbly asking for the support of our customers. If you miss real Tex-Mex as much as we do and want to make this dream a reality, please consider joining our Wall of Supporters...
In the entryway to our space, on an original masonry wall dating back to the 1910s, you'll find our grand Wall of Supporters. Lining this wall? Prominently-displayed names of the heroic, the broad-minded, the true patrons of the art of righteous Tex-Mex cooking — each printed on a big, beautiful brick.
“And how,” you find yourself asking, “does one join the ranks of these honorable souls? How might I myself become a Supporter?”
Amigos it couldn’t be easier:
“Patrón”
“Amigo”
“Campeón de
Campeones”
“Amiguito”
